THE OLD COVENTRIANS RFC 200 CLUB

INTRODUCTION
The Rugby Club operates a traditional '200 Club' to raise funds. All Rugby Club Members (and friends) are invited to join the scheme by buying one or more units, which helps to raise charitable funds for the Club. It has been operating for many years in a way which provides a combination of:
- a chance to win prizes each month and annually at Christmas
- social enjoyment for 200 Club members
- knowledge that the scheme is helping to fund the Club's charitable community activities
RULES OF THE 200 CLUB: (based on a membership of 500 units).
- The membership year will run from 1st March until 28th February.
- The price per unit is £36 payable by lump sum, or by standing order of £3 monthly, £9 quarterly or £36 annually. A member may hold several units.
- Please note that from 1st March 2025 the price per unit increased to £36.
- One half of income will be paid in prize money - all expenses will be taken from the OC's half with the balance treated as donations to Charity/Club Funds.
- There will be 11 monthly draws plus the annual Christmas Major Prize Draw - First Prize £1,500.
- Total Prize Money based on 500 units is £9,000.
If we sell materially less than 500 units the prize money will be reduced proportionally. - The first 3 or 4 draws for the 200 Club year usually take place at a club function in June and details of winners and numbers will be circulated shortly afterwards. July & August draws usually take place at the first VP Lunch of the season. September to November draws are held at the Annual Christmas Draw.
- The Annual Christmas draw serves both to draw the major prizes and for the Club to promote the scheme, encouraging continued membership and sale of any new units which have or may become available. Each FULL 200 Club member may bring along a partner to this social event.
CURRENT STATUS OF 200 CLUB A new financial year began on 1st March 2025. The March, April, May, & June draws were made at the club on 12th July. The July, August, & September draws were made at the club on Wednesday 22nd October. The October, November, and Bumper Christmas Draws too place at the Christmas Party on Saturday 6th December. The January & February draws took place on 28th February.
The new 200 CLUB year began on 1st March, when £36 per number is due. There are a few spare numbers, if you would like to buy another number please let me know.
The first draws will not take place until May or June to give me time to attribute payments and allocate new numbers.
